• Wipe dry with a microfibre cloth — leaving tracks damp encourages the exact mould growth you’re trying to remove.

How to clean flyscreens without warping them

• Remove the screen from the frame where possible and lay it flat.
• Vacuum both sides gently with a brush attachment to lift dust before wet-cleaning.
• Wash with a soft sponge and mild soapy water, rinse with a hose or watering can, and let it air dry flat (drying upright can cause sagging).
• Reinstall only once fully dry to avoid trapping moisture against the frame.
