These trap crumbs, spilled coffee, and dust into a sticky residue that just sits there. Empty them completely, vacuum with a narrow nozzle attachment, then wipe with a damp microfibre cloth. For cup holders, a cotton bud dipped in soapy water gets into the ridges vacuums can’t reach.
Vents pull in dust, pollen and mould spores and then blow them straight at your face — a big deal during spring hay fever season. A soft-bristled paintbrush or an old toothbrush loosens dust from the slats; follow with a vacuum on low suction. If there’s a musty smell when the AC kicks in, that’s usually the cabin air filter overdue for a change.
