Cleaning Tips The Pros Use

You’re not alone if you find cleaning tiring and exhausting. The list can be never ending, forever building and adding to your to do list.

It doesn’t have to be hard though. We’ve compiled a list of tips from our professional cleaners that helps them whizz through customers houses.

1. Clean the whole house, not one room at a time

Cleaning is much more efficient if you pick one task (dusting, vacuuming, mopping) and do the same task in every room in the house, rather than cleaning the kitchen, the bathrooms and then the bedrooms. Working your way through the house one task at a time allows you to pack up the cleaning items you no longer require, rather than going back and forth retrieving them.

2. Get a caddy for your cleaning tools

This tip is especially handy if you have a larger home, or a multi level home. By gathering your items in a bucket, caddy, or tote, you will always have what you need at your disposal, saving you time.

3. Clear the clutter

Clear the clutter. This is perhaps the best tip we can provide. Eliminating clutter makes cleaning infinitely quicker and easier. Before you start cleaning, go room to room and pick up the clutter to allow you to move through. As you pick up each item, consider whether you should put it away, toss it, or donate it.

4. Dust, then vacuum

Before you start dusting, make sure ceiling fans are turned off to eliminate blowing the dust back onto furniture. Work from the top to the bottom, vacuuming shortly after. Change the sheets in bedrooms before you vacuum.

5. Make it a routine

Make your cleaning as routine as you can. Start with the same tasks and methodically move through the house in the same way each time. The more frequently you complete the routine, the quicker you will be!
