The Ultimate Holiday Cleaning Checklist

Are you hosting this holiday season? Whether it be for Christmas itself, or a friendly catch up for New Years, we have the ultimate guide to ensure your home is presented perfectly this holiday season.

Complete in the weeks leading up to the event:

  • Walls: Wipe down to remove stains or scuff marks.
  • Windows: Clean windows to remove finger prints, dirt, water stains, and dust. Pay attention to the tracks and frames also.
  • Under Couches: Vacuum/mop
  • Carpet: Spot clean any visible stains. We suggest engaging in a professional to complete carpet cleaning works. You may like to leave this step until after the event to clean up any mishaps that occur during your hosting.
  • Doors: Wipe down entry and exit doors, as well as those indoors to remove finger prints & dust
  • Kitchen: Wipe over kitchen cupboards to remove any spills or stains
  • Oven: Deep clean your oven
  • Fridge: Wipe down the external and internal of the fridge
  • Blinds/Curtains: Wipe down blinds to remove dust. Wash curtains where possible
  • Decking/outdoor areas: Pressure wash external areas of your home to remove build up of dirt, grease, pet hair etc.
  • Outdoor areas: Pack away any gardening tools or items that are not essential to your event.

Complete in the days leading up to the event:

  • Floors: Vacuum & mop all flooring
  • Kitchen: Wipe down all benches and counter tops. Ensure stove top is clean
  • Living room: Dust all surfaces. Fluff pillows and arrange throw blankets
