How To Get Streak Free Windows

How To Get Streak Free Windows

Are you wanting streak-free windows? We are going to provide you with tips from our Window Cleaning professionals.

Professional tips:

  1. Avoid using glass cleaners that are based in ammonia or alcohol. We think these products will help clean an area more effectively, however, they can leave streaks and leave a film that attracts dust.
  2. Never use a razor or any other kind of blade to scrape sticky residue off your window. This can cause scratches that will not be able to be repaired without replacing the whole window.
  3. If you find that you still have streaks after you’ve cleaned your window, simply rinse with clear water to help remove any of the remaining cleaning solution.

Recommended products:

  1. Dishwashing detergent
  2. Squeegee
  3. Bucket big enough for your squeegee
  4. Microfibre cloth x 2 or 1 and paper towel

Process:

  1. Wipe over your windows with a dry microfiber cloth to get rid of all dirt
  2. Put warm water in a bucket with 1 tsp of detergent (Palmolive works really well) and mix it around
  3. Dampen your microfibre cloth in the water & wipe down your window (we recommend wiping down 1-2 windows at a time so they don’t have a chance to dry)
  4. Use your squeegee to clean the water off your windows, providing a streak free clean!
