You are not alone if cleaning is a chore you dread. Life is busy and carving out hours to clean is a challenge for most of us. We love anything that can make daily life quicker and easier, so take a look below to see the equipment that will save hours off your cleaning routine.
It’s almost too obvious to mention. But if you’re on the fence about getting one of these, let us be the push you need! Robot vacuums are a total game changer to your cleaning routine. Robot vacuums have come a long way in the last few years, and now is a great time to get one if you haven’t already. They operate autonomously, meaning you don’t have to do anything for them to vacuum the floors! Put it on whilst you’re busy with other tasks to maintain clean floors all week long! There are even varieties that mop as well as vacuum!

If you’re not ready for a robot vacuum with mopping capabilities, the next best thing is to get your hands on is a spray mop. They’re low cost, and available at your local Bunnings. The premise is simple, but boy is it effective! Fill the spray compartment with water and a small portion of floor cleaner, then simply spray and mop any messes and spills! You can use it for spot cleaning or to mop the whole house, and when you’re done you simply remove the mop head and throw it in the washing machine!

A drill brush attachment is exactly what it sounds like, an attachment for an electric drill that is designed for cleaning. There are varying sizes, for different tasks, but perhaps our favourite use for them is for cleaning grout. These attachments remove the need for scrubbing, and the nylon bristles won’t damage or scratch tiles.

Handheld, portable spot cleaners are a must if you have carpet or upholstery prominent in your home. Portable spot cleaners allow you to quickly remove spills, spots, pet accidents and set-in stains from carpets, rugs, upholstery, and car interiors. Best of all, they are small units, meaning they won’t take up a lot of cupboard space.

What can we say about these, other than that they really are like magic. These little white blocks will help you remove scuffs, pen marks, crayons, built up grime, and so much more from around the house. You’ll be amazed how clean your home feels when you can keep on top of daily wear and tear marks easily.

Our top tip for cleaning is always to keep it simple. The simpler the routine, the more likely it will be able to be maintained. The tips above will help you keep on top of the housework until your local Jim’s Cleaning specialist is due to visit!
