Cleaning is an incessant but important household chore. If you ignore this vital duty of yours, then soon your home could well become uninviting. This could easily reflect negatively on you as a homeowner. Many people often put household chores on the back burner, but procrastination only makes home cleaning even tougher in the long run. However, if you keep a schedule of cleaning and do a little each day, we believe you’ll manage it quite easily without having to stress too much. The following are some tips from Jim’s Cleaning on how to clean your home.
The most imminent foe to your home is dust. It can envelop your furniture and décor in no time. Moreover, if dust is allowed to settle on furniture, it could become arduous for you to remove it. So, if you want to get your home safe from dust, it’s important for you to make dusting a regular home cleaning exercise. However, make sure that you don’t use a feather duster for this purpose as it will only spread the dust around. Instead, use cotton gloves or a damp sponge to wipe the dust off your furniture more effectively.
Just as a feather duster is not a good tool for dusting, there are a number of other home cleaning tools that are not fit for the purpose of cleaning your home. You should make sure that you’re using the right tools for the job before you start the task of cleaning. For instance, a microfiber cloth is a much better tool for cleaning then a random rag, and cotton gloves and sponges are good alternatives to the feather duster.
Another essential tip for home cleaning that you should remember is to not use the vacuum cleaner at the start of the cleaning cycle. Vacuuming should always be the last step of the cleaning process. Start the process of cleaning by dusting, and only after you have completed that should you move on to the vacuum cleaner. Moreover, do remember to use the vacuum in straight lines.
Every three to six months, it’s generally a good idea to give the house a deep clean to avoid long term damage, and dirt build-up. One of the biggest jobs on the list is getting to the interior and exterior windows to ensure they are adequately cleaned, washed, wiped and cleared from all debris. While […]
Modern technology has provided so many wonderful inventions that has made cleaning so much easier. From the humble vacuums origins in 1908, we now have readily available access to robotic vacuum & mop duos! Microfibre cloths changed the dusting game in the 1970s, and who could forget when dishwashers were introduced in the 50s & […]
